Earlier this spring, we had the honour of chauffeuring Emily and Rajan on their wedding day in Leicester. From the peaceful streets of Stoneygate to the grandeur of Winstanley House, their day was full of joy, elegance, and timeless style. The couple & their vision

Emily, a marketing manager from Leicester, and Rajan, a London-based architect, met during their first year at university and bonded over a shared love of art, design, and weekend city breaks. Rajan’s extended family lives in Oadby, while Emily grew up just a stone’s throw from Victoria Park. The couple wanted their wedding to honour those personal roots while reflecting their shared aesthetic: clean, elegant, and understated.

They envisioned a day that blended tradition with contemporary style — a church ceremony with timeless details like florals and classical music, followed by a relaxed but refined reception with soft lighting, minimalist table settings, and neutral tones. Every detail, from the sage green ribbon on the car to the curated Spotify playlist, was considered and intentional.

Their goal? A celebration that felt deeply personal, beautiful, and — above all — joyful.

The venues

The couple held their ceremony at St James the Greater Church on London Road. Known for its dramatic stone architecture and intricate stained glass windows, it offered a grand yet serene backdrop for their vows.

We then chauffeured the couple — along with the bridal party in separate vehicles — to the reception at Winstanley House, set within Braunstone Park. A restored 18th-century mansion surrounded by sweeping lawns and woodland, it’s one of Leicester’s most sought-after wedding venues.

Fun fact: Winstanley House was once the residence of the Winstanley family and later served as a grand hotel. Today, it blends Georgian elegance with luxury event hosting — perfect for a stylish wedding arrival.

• A satin sage green ribbon and matching floral arrangement to complement their ivory, sage, and champagne gold colour palette

The wedding chauffeur experience

Michael, the couple’s chauffeur, arrived in a tailored charcoal suit with white gloves — 15 minutes ahead of schedule to ensure everything ran smoothly. He calmed nerves, double-checked timings with the planner, and helped secure Emily’s cathedral-length veil before she stepped into the car.

After the ceremony, Michael was waiting with the Ghost EWB at the end of the confetti-strewn church path, ready with the doors open at the touch of a button and the couple’s playlist — a mix of jazz and acoustic tracks — softly playing inside.
