Helping You With Your Prom Car Ideas

Prom night is rightly regarded as one of the most important moments in the life of any teenager. Not only does it mark the end of a stressful, repetitive cycle of exams & revision, but it will likely be the last chance that you’ll get to party with the friends who have shaped your formative years before everyone goes on to the next stage of their lives, whether that be work, university or travelling. With such a momentous occasion on the horizon, it seems only fair that your transport to and from the prom venue should be just as luxurious and high-quality as the event itself – that’s where we come in.

Here at Phantom Hire, we pride ourselves on our ability to elevate our clients’ prom experience by providing them with an unbelievable luxury car to drive them to their prom celebration. Our incredible luxury fleet provides an incredible array of options for our clientele to choose from, whether you’re drawn to the gleaming Rolls-Royce Phantom 8, the exceptionally imposing Rolls-Royce Cullinan, or the jaw-dropping variety offered by the Rolls-Royce Dawn, we’ve got options that are guaranteed to appeal to all clients’ personal tastes. On top of that, our incredible team of chauffeurs have decades of experience under their belts, so you can rest assured that your prom journey is in the best possible hands.

However, we often find that where clients tend to struggle when booking with us is with actually choosing the prom car itself, as many prom goers come to us unsure about which vehicle best suits their needs. With this in mind, this blog aims to provide a comprehensive breakdown of how to choose the best possible prom car and providing clients with prom transport ideas; outlining all the available vehicle options, pointing to how clients can best shape their prom car to their theme/aesthetic, and answering any additional questions you might have about our prom services.

Matching Proms With Themes

One of the easiest ways to narrow down your choice of prom car is to think about which one best aligns with the look of the evening. This could be in reference to either the theme of the prom itself (e.g. a vintage theme) or the theme of your prom party (e.g. a rugby team all wearing outfits in their school colours).

Matching your vehicles to a particular theme is absolutely essential from a stylistic point of view; you wouldn’t pair up a group of girls in black dresses with a bright red Rolls-Royce Dawn, in the same way that you wouldn’t attend a wedding in your pyjamas. Listed below are some incredible ways you can pair up one of our stunning prom cars, depending on your particular prom theme or aesthetic.

Black Tie Aesthetic

If your prom requires that you come dressed in your finest black and white threads, you’ll need a car that emits the same kind of refinement and sophistication. We would highly recommend choosing Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 for this kind of event; not only does their gleaming white paint perfectly complement the formal attire of a black tie event, but their status as the apex of what Rolls-Royce can provide means that you’ll turn up to your prom looking like a thousand bucks.

Vintage Aesthetic

If your prom or prom party have chosen to go down a more vintage route, akin to a Roaring 20s aesthetic a la The Great Gatsby, then we’d highly recommend choosing the Baby Bentley Limo. Besides being an extension of one of the most iconic car manufacturers of all time, the incredible design fits any vintage-themed prom like a glove.

Barbie Theme

Keen to replicate the vibrant bubbliness of the smash-hit Barbie movie? Then the Pink Hummer is an excellent choice for such an endeavour. Merging a roomy 16-seater interior with a stunning LED dance floor, this exceptionally bright vehicle is the ultimate party ride, ensuring a night of fabulous, unforgettable fun for you and all your friends.

All-Out Party Aesthetic

Partying is a key part of the prom experience, and if the all-out party experience is what you’re looking for, then we can’t recommend the H2 Hummer limousine enough. This 16-seater limousine is fully equipped with everything you could need to hype yourselves up before the big event, including world-class speakers, a fully-stocked minibar and colour-changing interior lighting – what better way to pump the evening up?

Tips For Planning & Booking

Booking a prom car is obviously an exciting moment, but for first-time clients, it can be very easy to fall into easily avoidable mistakes if you are not careful. Here is some advice we would give to anyone booking their prom car with Phantom Hire.

1. Book As Soon As Possible

Very frequently, we receive enquiries from customers less than a week before their prom, looking for a specific car, only to find that said car is unavailable due to having already been booked. With this in mind, we recommend booking your prom car at least one month in advance to ensure that you get your prom car of choice. This is especially important during prom season (May to August), which is when we get the largest volume of prom enquiries.

2. Identify Your Needs

Before you contact our team to book the car, take a couple of minutes to figure out exactly what you’ll need. This not only helps to speed up the process when you book, but also ensures that you pick a car that accommodates your requirements. Said requirements may include:

• Number of Passengers – How many people will be travelling to prom with you? Will it just be you and your special someone, or a twenty-person college rugby team? Do you need to hire multiple vehicles?
• Type of Car – What kind of theme/vibe is your prom going for, and does your car match that? If you are having to book at the eleventh hour, be sure to keep your options flexible, as your desired car may not be available.
• Budget – How much is everyone able/willing to spend?

3. Plan Out Your Schedule

Think carefully about when you want everything to happen – what time do you want the car to arrive at? What time do you plan on driving back? Do you need to pick anyone up on the way to the venue? Will you be stopping somewhere for photos? This is crucial to consider, as letting the chauffeur know ahead of time what you plan to do means that your prom journey will be as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Photo-Ready: Making The Most of Your Prom Ride

At Phantom Hire, we understand that a large part of the prom night tradition involves photography; for many of you, this celebration may end up being the last time you see some of your friends and peers for a long time, and you deserve to have a physical copy of the memories that you’re sure to cherish forever.

With this in mind, we’re delighted to offer our clientele the unique perk of having their photograph taken with their chosen prom vehicle, providing you with a treasured memory that you’re certain to keep hold of for years to come. Additionally, if you’d liek your photo to have a backdrop that’s more visually interesting than your front driveway, we can tailor your prom journey to include a handful of pit-stops at the landmarks within your hometown for a quick photoshoot. Whether you want a romantic shot with your boyfriend or girlfriend, or want a big group shot with all your best mates surrounding your prom limo, we’ll make sure you have time to get the perfect photograph for your Instagram page whilst still getting to your prom on time.

FAQs About Prom Car Hire

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 1-2 months before the date of your prom to ensure that you are able to secure the prom vehicle of your choice. However, our team will also do their best to accommodate any last-minute bookings or changes.

What are good prom cars for couples vs. groups?

For couples, we would recommend choosing small cars – any of our Rolls-Royce sedan vehicles would be suitable for this endeavour. However, for large groups (i.e. more than 6 people), we recommend choosing one of our many limo options or hiring multiple cars.

Can I hire multiple prom cars?

Yes, you can absolutely hire more than one vehicle within the same booking.

Can I drive the car myself?

No, our vehicles are not self-driven; only the company chauffeur can drive the car.

Are refreshments included in the car?

Yes, a selection of soft drinks or water is available within our prom vehicles upon request.
