Over our many years of service, Phantom Hire has provided its VIP London chauffeur service to a range of VIP clients, from actors to CEOs to even top athletes, most notably Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, some of the requests for VIP car hire that we have received from our most wealthy clients have occasionally exceeded what anyone would expect, even from a luxury car service company. Join us as we walk through the 5 craziest journeys our chauffeurs have had to make using our London VIP chauffeur service, ranging from the indulgent to the expensive to the downright bizarre. 

Our Wildest VIP London Chauffeur Journeys 

#1 – The Shopping Trip of The Century

Hiring a high-end VIP car for a luxury shopping trip is not entirely unheard of, but one of our most recent clients took this to a whole new level. The client, a Manchester native, requested a chauffeur driven Rolls-Royce Phantom Limo to pick her & her friends up from her address near Piccadilly Gardens, and drive her all the way down to London for an all-day shopping spree. 

On a trip that encompassed the likes of Oxford Circus, Leicester Square and Westfield London shopping Centre, our chauffeur driver spent the whole day ferrying the group around the UK’s busy capital, spending inordinate amounts of money on clothes, shoes and food. By the time they had finished and were ready to head back to Manchester, it was a miracle that all their purchases could fit in the Phantom’s already spacious cabin. 

#2 – An Exercise in Indulgence

If you ever worry that you’re spending too much on your chauffeur hire, we can guarantee that another one of our clients has made a more extravagant purchase; case in point, John, a high-profile businessman who called us looking to hire a selection of vehicles for upcoming conference at Central Hall in Westminster. 

Now, clients hiring out multiple vehicles for a single event is nothing new, but what John was asking for was beyond what we could have imagined – rather than hiring out two or three vehicles for his entire team, he wanted a chauffeur driven luxury car for each individual member. As a result, 10 of our Rolls-Royce vehicles were driven down to London to chauffeur each member of John to the venue in sumptuous style. The word “indulgent” doesn’t quite cover it.

#3 – The World’s Most Glamorous Pub Crawl

When you think of a pub crawl, you probably think of a group of lads walking arm in arm as they make their way to the next location of their night for yet another brew. You probably don’t think of a chauffeur driven H2 White Hummer transporting a group of high-profie businessmen around London as they make it their mission to have a drink at every pub in the city. 

Such was the case with Danny, a high-ranking investment banker based in Marylebone, who decided to celebrate his 35th birthday by taking the concept of a pub crawl to a whole new level of luxury. His journey took him all over London, from Covent Garden to Piccadilly Circus, where he and his friends celebrated his milestone with a chauffeur driven service that spanned from the beginning of the evening to the early hours of the morning. 

#4 – Glastonbury Glamping

Glamping is an oft-repeated tradition at Glastonbury Festival, where groups can treat themselves to a comfortable tent-sheltered bed, avoiding the hard ground and muddy surroundings of the the traditional camping site. However, one group took the concept of “glamorous camping” to a whole new level, hiring a VIP chauffeur to drive them to the glampsite in a stunning high-end vehicle. 

This group, consisting of a number of prominent BBC Radio 2 figures, were picked up in a chauffeur driven Rolls-Royce Ghost from the BBC Broadcasting house on Thursday evening, which transported them to the glampsite in Wells. The group enjoyed a wonderful journey, complete with incredible Bespoke speakers and a complimentary drinks fridge, and when the celebrations ended on Monday morning, both chauffeur and car were ready & waiting to take them home after a weekend of frantic partying & brilliant music. 

#5 – A Mind-Blowing Wedding Entrance

When it comes to your wedding, no amount of glamour is too little, especially when it comes to your entrance to the reception. However, it can be pretty firmly said that hiring a helicopter to transport the bride and groom is certainly an unorthodox way of doing things. Such was the case when a married couple, who were hosting their reception at London Golf Club. Rather than the traditional choice of a luxury car and chauffeur with requested that their arrival to the festivities be via the venue’s helipad. Phantom Hire has been privileged to provide our services to a range of different weddings, but this was without a doubt one of the most unique that we’ve ever been to.
